“The living room section in Beijing’s Ikea has got to be one of the funniest
things in China. It’s like this weird combination of furniture store meets
amusement park were the couches are the main attraction.
Instead of
eager shoppers simply testing out a couch (you know, the basic 10 second
sitting/bouncing on a couch or bed), Beijingers bring in newspapers, blankets
(maybe even a personal pillow) and literally spend the afternoon testing
Sweden’s finest living rooms…”
